Michael and I went on adventure yesterday. We took Pascal and went to Rensselaer Pets for a Customer Appreciation party. There were lots of people there and most brought at least one bird. There were a number of species there that I've only seen on T.V.
We were also excited to meet LuAnn and Harley. You may have read in one of my other posts that Harley is Pascal's brother. It was nice to see them together.
I guess I've gotten more comfortable traveling with Pascal. I put his portable playstand on the back seat and he was perfect all the way there. It is almost an hour drive, but he was patient and seemed to enjoy looking out the window. Michael sat in back with him in case Pasal got down, but everything went well. To get him into the store and back to the car, I just tucked him in my long coat.
Pascal was really good the whole time. We ended up staying about 4 hours. I never expected to stay that long, but Pascal was content much of the time to just sit on my shoulder (something I don't typically let him do). Michael was having a lot of fun carrying Pascal around and picking new toys. Michael also got to draw a lot of the names for a raffle, which he thoroughly enjoyed. We even won a prize (Michael drew my name) and he picked a perch for inside or outside the cage. I was enjoying visiting with the bird lovers. It was a wonderful group of people to meet.
When we got home, we were all exhusted, but we were all happy too, which is what counts most.
